Referred to as the "smallest bike rack" in the world, the vacuum cups fit in a travel case that measures 9.5 x 7 x 4 inches. What makes this carrier different from some of the other bike carriers is you can leave the front tire on. The Hornet uses two of SeaSuckers 4.5 inch vacuum mounts with a rated pull strength of 120 pounds each. It also comes with a required safety strap, created to wrap around the bike's steerer tube and into a cam buckle. The tail of the strap is made with a built in safety peg to close in the hatch of your vehicle. This helps make sure your bicycle stays where it is supposed to. Designed to put on the back window of a hatchback, SUV, or minivan the Hornet is a great example of a strong item in a tiny package.
The SeaSucker Hornet bike carrier is a vacuum mounted system. Remove the covers from the vacuum mounts. Make sure you clean the surface & the cups with a damp rag prior to installation. Pump up each cup until you can no longer see the orange. Use the included safety strap to help secure your bike.
